Local Florists

Classical Floral Designs

1 Borelli Yard, Farnham GU9 7NU, UK – 01252 718803

I buy a good deal of flowers from Classical Floral Designs. The bouquets don't seem particularly expensive and they're nice to deal with on the phone. I've only given them 4 stars (rather than 5) out of 5 because they've *never* recognised my name when I have called - I've been using them for about 5 years now. Usually florists are pretty sharp on that.

We used CFD for our wedding at Cain Manor in September 2012. The delivery arrived exactly on time, and the flowers themselves were beautifully done - many of our guests remarked on the displays and particularly the bouquet. The cost was very reasonable, at almost half of the most expensive competitor, for what I suspect is twice the quality. I would strongly recommend CFD to anyone getting married in or out of Surrey.

Eden Blooms Florist

1 Upper Church Ln, Farnham GU9 7PW, UK – 01252 715597

Eden Blooms provided a fantastic service for our wedding in May this year. Our initial consultation was conducted with professionalism, warmth and friendliness, helping to put us at ease and discuss ideas. The quote was easy to navigate through and laid out clearly and professionally. The quote was also affordable and I felt like the service and products were excellent value for money. On the wedding day the flowers were arranged beautifully and exactly as I had envisaged. I was so pleased with the floral displays, my own bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes and corsages. The attention to detail and arrangements were very impressive and Hazel had included everything I wanted. I would highly recommend Eden Blooms for a wedding or other event. Hazel worked extremely hard to provide everything we asked for and was so easy to get on with and work with leading up to our wedding. Thank you Eden Blooms for helping to make our wedding absolutely perfect. I was one very happy bride.

Thank you for a truly professional , attentive and caring service. You understood my daughter's tastes from the outset and produced incredibly beautiful bouquets and arrangements which were of the highest quality. The lantern room looked amazing. Your advice helped us to save money by using everything again from the ceremony room and moving them seamlessly to the Great Hall. A real bonus.. A great service, highly recommended.

Tips - Caring for your flowers once they are delivered

Placing your flowers in vase half to two thirds full with lukewarm water, will help closed buds to start opening.

  • Be careful when un-wrapping a hand-tied bouquet as it is delivered in a water bubble to keep the flowers fresh.
  • Arranging your flowers in cold water should be avoided as this can reduce the their life in the vase.
  • Avoid puting flowers in metal or aluminium containers - glass is ideal. Keep your flowers in a cool location, away from draughts, direct heat or sunlight. Arrange once unwrapped
  • Your flowers may take up to 24 hours after being placed in water to reach their full potential.
  • Strip off all excess foliage and leaves below the water level to reduce any harmful bacteria within the water.
  • Bacteria can block the stem and stop the flowers taking up the water.unwrap. Flowers like their stems trimmed. So, trim them, at an angle with a knife (rather than scissors) by an inch or so. When trimming stems, always cut at an angle of roughly 45degrees; this increases the surface area allowing your flowers to absorb more water.
  • If a Rose starts to droop at the head, re-cut the stem, wrap the head in paper to support it upright and plunge 5cms of the stem into boiling water for about 30seconds. Cut the stem again and place in deep cold water for two hours.trim

Most orders are accompanied by a sachet of cut flower food which will encourage buds to open and help to prolong the life and beauty of your flowers. Top up regularly with water and flower food, removing any fading flowers. Ensure the floristry foam used in arrangements is moist and topped up daily; this helps to prolong the life and vibrancy of your arrangements.
